How to Order Your Fixed Martingale Collar

1. Measure

Take either your dog's head or neck measurement, whichever is larger. For head measurement, make a loop around the widest part of your dog's head with a measuring tape. Try sliding the tape on and off the head, past the ears and back. The loop should be just large enough to slide on and off easily – without being too loose – for the perfectly sized fixed martingale collar.

For neck measurement, measure around your dog's neck, with just enough allowance for one or two fingers to slip between the measuring tape and neck

A correctly fitted martingale collar will be just a tad loose when not pulled. The two D-Rings should not touch when pulled.

*Our collars are made to measure. If inaccurate sizing is provided and the collar strap needs to be replaced, additional charges will be incurred.

2. Pick Colours and Hardware

Choose your favourite Biothane colours (see Colour Options below) for the collar strap, strapkeeper, and accent (optional) and pick your hardware* material.

If you do not select an accent colour (secondary colour), the collar will be designed as shown on the right in the image below.

*Do note that for the gold chain hardware, due to the method of coating, the chain may come with minor spots that are not coated, and reveal the stainless steel chain beneath.
